Quote preparation · Early access

Understand the job.
Then review the quote.

The total is only part of a useful quote. BuiltRelay keeps scope questions, exclusions and private cost planning close to the customer request, so you can review what you’re offering.

The demo is fictional. It does not price a real construction project.

From request to a reviewed proposal

01 / Scope

Make the unknowns visible.

Start with the saved request and approved business facts. Use the preparation worksheet to review dimensions, site conditions, materials, access and other applicable details. Record open questions.

02 / Cost

Review costs in private.

Enter your own cost estimates and confirm the categories before reviewing planned margin. Missing costs stay unknown. Your internal worksheet and supplier notes are kept out of the customer export.

03 / Approve

Check the customer’s version.

Review line items, totals and exclusions. Resolve unanswered questions or explicitly acknowledge them before approval. Download and inspect the customer quote before you share it.

Example: an inquiry for an equipment shelter

Before choosing a selling price, confirm the intended use, dimensions, site access and owner responsibilities. Identify which costs still need supplier or subcontractor input. Describe exclusions clearly so the customer can see what the proposal covers.

This is a workflow example, not a design, engineering specification or price recommendation. The business owner supplies and reviews the actual project information.

Checklists for different kinds of work

The preparation worksheet includes general, pole barn, roofing, concrete and branding/print prompts. Choose the relevant checklist and add the details your project needs. A checklist supports your review; it does not establish that every project requirement has been met.

Connect quoting with the contractor CRM workflow so the inquiry, decision and next action stay together.

Common questions

Does BuiltRelay generate supplier prices?

No. Enter and verify your own costs and selling prices. AI can help with draft wording and questions using the context supplied to it, but it does not establish current supplier pricing.

Is planned margin guaranteed profit?

No. It is a planning calculation from the costs and quote values you enter. Actual costs, changes and collections determine the eventual outcome.

Will approving a quote send it or collect a payment?

Approval records your reviewed version. Sending and provider-confirmed payment collection are separate actions. Owner-entered checkout links do not verify a payment.

Are subscriptions and add-ons available?

Paid subscriptions are not open yet. You can explore proposed setup services and request a written scope. No request starts a recurring charge.
